Fr. Hyland’s Birthday Celebration

Although our Chicago White Sox may have underachieved this school year, Fr. Hyland never lost faith in the team –  a truly commendable action.  In honor of Father Hyland’s birthday, October 9, students are encouraged to dress out of uniform on Tuesday, October 11, to support Fr. Hyland’s love for the White Sox.  Students are permitted to dress in White Sox attire OR black and white clothing.  We will have other fun things happening to celebrate Father’s birthday Tuesday.  In preparation for Tuesday, I invite all students and families to give Father Hyland the best present – join us for mass this Sunday to celebrate Father’s 66th Birthday.

Regular Dress Code Begins – Wednesday, October 12

This week, we received many of the backorder items for our uniform store.  As a result, MHR students will return to normal dress code beginning Wednesday, October 12, 2022.  If you have not received your school polo(s) yet, your student may continue to wear an MHR spirit shirt or PE shirt in its place until all polos come in.  Please also note, that wearing hoodies will no longer be acceptable.  If a student wishes to wear outerwear, it must be an MHR quarter zip, which are now in stock.

Please refer to page 44 of our Family Handbook for further detail regarding our uniform policy.

Raider Act Cards

Thank you to those who contributed items to our Raider Act Treasure Chest.  If you wish to contribute, please bring any items to the main office.  In addition, if parents wish to recognize students positively, please email me the name of the student being recognized along with an explanation of the act.
