Mr. Turney’s “Raider Ramblings”

Raider of the Week

Emily – 7th Grade – Ms. Cagney’s Homeroom

“After a freewriting assignment, I invited a student to share her thoughts with the class.  Initially, she declined to share.  I asked if she would reconsider and share a small portion.  She agreed and delivered a profound perspective on the topic that enhanced our class discussion.  I am proud of this student for overcoming a fear.  Thank you, and congrats to Emily for acting with courage in this moment and being such a strong Raider.”

Graduation Pictures

All eighth graders will take graduation pictures, Tuesday, January 10.  Please see the handout sent home with your student on December 14 for further information.

Inclement Weather Days

With winter quickly approaching, we may experience a day(s) when we close school for the safety of our students, faculty, and staff.  In such an instance, these days will be designated e-learning days, and students will be expected to complete assignments shared by teachers. In addition, each teacher will host “office hours” from 8:30 to 9:15 am and 11:30 am to 12:30 pm via Zoom or Google Meet.  All students will be expected to join their class via Zoom or Google Meet at 8:30 am for prayer and welcome, attendance, and to answer any questions about the day.

  • Pre-K through 4th Grade Students – The office hours link and assignments will be emailed to parents no later than 8 am.
  • 5th through 8th Grade Students – The office hours link and assignments will be posted to Google Classroom no later than 8 am.

We acknowledge that some families may need support during an e-learning day.  If a family needs a device for their student(s) to access learning activities, please click here to request a school iPad.  Please be mindful that the school has a limited supply of iPads, and they will be distributed accordingly.

Most Holy Redeemer administration will send out a schoolwide email through our emergency communication system, School Messenger, and post the information on our website and social media accounts no later than 7 am.

Cold Season

If a student is absent for two or more consecutive days, a negative Covid-19 test or alternative diagnosis must be submitted for the student to return to school.
