RAIDER RAMBLINGS

Mr. Turney’s Raider Ramblings

Raiders of the Week

Directors, Cast, and Crew of Annie Jr.

Maeve, Eliana, Danny, Eli, Emily and the cast & crew of the Annie, Jr. embodied the Grad Profile attribute “Inspirational” when they prepared the MHR production.

Our 8th graders proposed this project on day one of their Leadership class and spent the entire year preparing for the event. They had a positive and optimistic attitude throughout the process. The students who made up the cast and crew rehearsed for weeks and put on three fantastic shows. Their courage to perform on stage inspires all of us at MHR.

Employment Opportunities at MHR

We are excited to announce that we will be adding sections to many of our early childhood, primary, and elementary grade levels for the 2024/2025 school year due to continued enrollment growth.  As a result, we must hire the best and brightest educators to add to our already stellar faculty and staff.  Please help spread the word for anyone looking to teach in a growing and evolving school.

Open positions include:

  • Early Childhood and Primary (Pre-K through Grade 2)
  • Elementary (Grade 3 – 5)
  • Junior High Math

Interested parties should email their resume to Principal Turney at dturney@mhrschool.com.

Message from School Advisory Board – Membership Opportunity

During the State of the School address, one main theme the School Advisory Board (SAB) shared was the profound impact volunteering our time and talent has on the school’s growth and viability. One way YOU can directly impact our progress is by joining SAB.

Our work, in collaboration with Fr. Hyland and Mr. Turney, is centered on sustaining the school’s Catholic Identity and Mission, innovating our Facilities and Programs, enhancing Academic Excellence and Growth, bolstering our Operational Vitality and enhancing Community Engagement. SAB meets once a month during the academic year and select additional times as needed (it isn’t much, I promise).

We are actively seeking 3-5 NEW board members to join us for the 2024-25 academic year. Ideally, the Board is comprised of individuals with diverse skillsets and expertise with varied experience within MHR (i.e. junior high, middle and primary grades).

If you are interested please email sab@mhrschool.com or Mr. Turney. He, along with returning Board members Eileen Ziesemer, Dan Yopchick and Jack Winters, can answer any questions you may have.
