Raider Ramblings

Thank you for joining us for Mr. Turney’s Raider Ramblings!

Raider of the Week  – Nash

Nash was inclusive and empathetic when he waited for a classmate in a race.  Nash’s team was winning the relay race and he was the last runner.  The girl that he was racing against asked him to wait and run with her so she wasn’t alone.  Nash waited patiently for her, and they finished the race in a tie!  Nash was so kind and put the feelings of his classmates above winning the race. – Mrs. Kelly Malinger

February 26 – Early Dismissal for Curriculum Collaboration; 8 am – 1:30 pm; 8 am – 1:30 pm; Dress Down Day for $1 – Money raised goes to Franzen Fund.

MHR Foundation Update

The MHR School Foundation is currently seeking applicants for the Board of Directors.

The MHR School Foundation is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit entity and aims to support the long-term success of the school, our parish, and our community.  The establishment of the MHR Foundation ensures that every year Most Holy Redeemer School will receive a monetary gift from the foundation’s endowment.  Building an endowment will help ensure that Most Holy Redeemer can continue to provide quality, value-based Catholic education.

This is a volunteer position, and applicants must be an MHR School alum or a current parishioner and have a minimum of 5 years of work experience.  Current or past experience serving on a board of directors is a plus.

If interested in applying, please contact Steve Sise at sjsise@gmail.com.

MHR Leaders Week Opening Mass – March 3

Our third annual MHR Leaders Week is just around the corner.  Join us as we “Pack the Church” on Sunday, March 3, at 9:30 am mass.  A current MHR student will kick off our week by sharing what leadership means to him/her, and how MHR works to develop leaders intentionally.

3rd Annual MHR Plus Day

In 2022, two MHR students, both of whom had siblings with special needs, voiced that they wished their siblings could experience a day at MHR. Thus, MHR Plus Day was born – a day of inclusion to celebrate the uniqueness in us all! We invite siblings, cousins, or family members of MHR students with special needs to spend a day with us and experience what it’s like to be an MHR Raider! Guests will participate in activities led by MHR students, and lunch will be provided!

For questions or to RSVP, please contact Ms. Scannell at mscannell@mhrschool.com.

MHR Plus Day Community Outreach

We will be raising funds for two incredible organizations – Elim School and the Cornelia De Lange Foundation. We invite you to join us in supporting their important work by donating. If you would like to contribute, please send your donations to the front office by March 7th. If you have any questions about how you can help, please do not hesitate to contact dturney@mhrschool.com. Thank you for your generosity and support!

Thank you to our 8th-grade students for executing this fundraiser.
