Raider of the Week  – Will Winters

Will embodied the Grad Profile attribute inspirational when he opened a lemonade stand to raise money for St. Baldrick’s Day.  Will decided not to shave his head this year but still wanted to donate.  His initiative and hard work raised over $100!  Thank you to Will and all of his helpers for setting a great example!

MHRts Week 2024 – “Celebrating the Arts and Creativity of the Students at Most Holy Redeemer School”

A special MHRts Week begins March 18, 2024!

MHRts Night is Wednesday, March 20, 2024, Briody Hall 6:30-8:00 pm

Our annual MHRts Night begins virtually online at:

Family members can view their creative students’ artwork prepared for our annual Art Show. You can view and place orders online from March 11 – 25, 2024.

MHRts Night continues to look a little different this year due to transitions from our frame supplier and event partner, Artome. But, the fun and creativity remains in focus and selected Art will still be on display, including our Artist Guest Speaker and the popular Sketchbook table!

Time schedule:

  • 6:30 – 7 pm Gallery walk (with Surprise Musical Guest): 
  • See examples of Art projects on display in Briody Hall during the evening. 
  • See examples of what the MHR Art students have been up to in class this year!
  • A virtual presentation of the framed student artwork available from Artome from Grades K thru 8, and a guided tour of their website to place an order. And it’s easy to find with the QR Code.
  • 7:00-7:20 pm Special Artist Guest Speaker
  • Meet and listen to a presentation with our special guest! Artist, painter, educator and MHR parent,  Mr. Kevin Blake will lead a presentation in the Art Room where he will discuss and project his artwork.
  • 7:30 – 8:00 pm  A special Preview of MHR’s upcoming musical, The Wizard of Oz!

Meet some of the cast in costume, and hear a little of what they have been preparing for at showtime.

MHRts Week continues with performances of The Wizard of Oz, on Thursday, March 21, at 1:00 pm and 7:00 pm and Friday, March 22 at 1:00 pm and 7:00 pm.

Jack Badke – American Legion Essay Winner

Congratulations to Jack Badke for earning first place in the American Legion, “Why I Am Proud to be an American,” essay writing contest.  Jack will be honored for his achievement at the American Legion in Evergreen Park, IL, this May.

5Essentials Survey – ONE WEEK LEFT

Annually, every school throughout Illinois administers the 5Essentials survey to better assess five critical areas to meaningfully improve schools. At MHR, we take this survey very seriously and leverage its results to inform our continuous improvement plans.

MHR Foundation Update

The MHR School Foundation is currently seeking applicants for the Board of Directors.

The MHR School Foundation is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit entity and aims to support the long-term success of the school, our parish, and our community.  The establishment of the MHR Foundation ensures that every year Most Holy Redeemer School will receive a monetary gift from the foundation’s endowment.  Building an endowment will help ensure that Most Holy Redeemer can continue to provide quality, value-based Catholic education.

This is a volunteer position, and applicants must be an MHR School alum or a current parishioner and have a minimum of 5 years of work experience.  Current or past experience serving on a board of directors is a plus.

MHR TRIVIA NIGHT – SAVE THE DATE – April 20 

It is beginning to feel like spring again, which can only mean one thing…the annual MHR Trivia Night is near!  Join us to find out who’s smarter than a 5th grader on Saturday, April 20th.
