Please see following letter from Mrs. Harmening regarding the Call to Protect Program which will begin on May 6th.

Dear Parents,

Most Holy Redeemer, along with the Archdiocese of Chicago is committed to the protection of children and youth. Our sacred duty is to protect them in our schools, parishes and community. In support of this mission, we require safe environment compliance for those who work with, and minister to, our children and youth.

In addition, we are aware of the importance of partnering with parents to provide training to our children in sexual abuse prevention. We are writing to inform you that we will be providing Call to Protect this year starting on May 6th. Call to Protect is an age-appropriate, research-based program that provides children and youth with life-skills on recognizing what sexual abuse is and steps in how to protect themselves, including the importance of reporting to parents or another safe adult. This is not sex education, but rather education that equips them with skills to reduce their vulnerability and encourage them to report abuse.

Understandably, you may have questions. We are here to address those questions and assure you that we want to work together with you in the educational and spiritual development of your child. Please contact any of us in the parish/school with your questions or concerns.

Children and youth are an integral part of the Catholic Church. We want to help them flourish and develop, respected, loved and valued, as God intended.
